Today on TV I caught a glimpse of a "new" trend. Some kind of stomach tanning spraypaint to give the illusion that the person has a six pack. Right ?!? Okay, so what is our world coming to? Is image that important!?! I can't seem to get away from the endless tv shows of plastic surgery. And all these women trying to look younger. I can understand hair dye to cover the gray, but botox?! Is it really that important? Who are we trying to become? It saddens me to no end because whatever self confidence people are seeking can only come from God. God made us each a certain way. He's bigger than the enormous pressure out there to be perfect or to attain a false sense of beauty. He can give us peace about our bodies, looks, and all the things we hate about ourselves; if we would just come to Him. Don't buy into Satan's lies that plague our generation. The Bible says Satan is the father of lies. So determine within yourself to not believe them. Everyone hates being deceived, so why should we let Satan deceive us? God says you are fearfully and wonderfully made. He knows you inside out and to insult yourself is insulting Him. Goodness, our poor society, can we be revolutionaries to stand against the craziness out there? Can we stand against the disillusionment of being young forever, knowing instead that every season of life God has made is good? Can we be satisfied with how He made us, and trust that He made us in certain ways on purpose? Can we stand against conforming to the images out there? Yes we can. Is it worth it? Yes, because after we are peaceful in who God has made us, we can then help others reach that peace also. We can be light in this dark world.

So guys, be peaceful with who you are in God. Don't worry about appearances. If you keep following God, some woman will love you like crazy. The insecurities just don't matter.

Lovely girls, know that you are beautiful, inside and out. Trust and have peace in God and the unique way He chose to make you. All that will ever matter is God's feelings about you, not what the next girl thinks about what you're wearing or if a guy thinks you're "hot". You are beautiful, and most importantly, God is beautiful within you.
